W212 car engine dies randomly

My 2010 W212 E200 Blue EFFICIENCY CGI petrol car engine dies randomly without any warning when I am slowing down to stop or driving at slow speeds. The RPM needle just drops and the engine turns off with all dash lights on. It starts again without any problems on turning the key.

The diagnostics suggested that pressure pump was faulty, this has been changed but the problem still persists.

Any help would be really appreciated.

If pump has been changed check pipework and rtn to tank valve, somewhere near around or on pump . Maybe it is not controlling rtn to tank properly and at low rpm is letting fuel/pressure back to tank. Thus not enough getting to motor. If pressures in sufficient at, near idle, I would have thought there would be some related eng fault code. I guess? Pump was a decent replacement and not ex breaker?

Need the live data really - could it be a failing sensor telling you it thinks the pump is faulty?

Hi,

Could you please tell me what was the issue? My W212 FaceLift has the exact same issue, I've been at 3 mechanics and none of them know what could be the issue(I changed fuel pump, but the issue is still there)
