W213 9G gearbox service

Morning,

Got a 2019 E Class with the 9G gearbox. Service due in August when coming up to 5 years old.

Merc service system states gearbox service due at 77,500 miles. Confirmed by indie.

No 'or 5 years' as per my old (7g) car.

Is this correct?

Car only done 34,000 miles.

Yes, seems to be correct. I raised the same query last year when mine was 5 years old and there is a long thread on here somewhere. Now just mileage based.

Yes, I know we've covered this many times before but even the staff at Mercedes Southampton can't agree. When I booked the service, I specifically asked about the auto-box oil change and, after 10 minutes of investigation, the booking desk said yes it is due now (car just coming up to 5 years...

Our V220 with the 9g box had its first service at four years and less than 30k miles as per MB, but the service schedule is every two years or every 20k…. I guess it is expected that these will do lots of miles each year.

9G 4matic, every 3 years/31,000 miles

9g non 4matic (in w213) every 77,500 miles.

9G in hybrid cars/W205 (4 years/37,500 miles)

So basically, its whatever MB feel like and its different depending on what car/chassis the gearbox is in. Simple eh?
