I’ve the TV tuner in my car and full media package, I’ve used it once in all the time I’ve had the car, even then it wasn’t for very long. Good idea for taxi drivers maybe but just a gimmick for normal users I think

A £60 Nextbase DVD player for the rear is far more use IMO.
My grandson loves sitting watching Shaun the Sheep etc on his way home from school on the days I collect him:D

My car came with DVD, TV, AV all included from the rear entertainment centre (original press release car so has every option bar night vision and airmatic), I’m sure it will be useful in the future for the little one growing up, but not for just me in the car,

To be honest I agree probably just a gimmick.
But I was thinking if was relatively easy to do I’d do it. But it isn’t so I won’t

@Flyinspanner
Have never had the tv working.
I’m asking as the handbook talks about tv but when I try to select it in the display it isn’t there.
I’m fairly sure I saw a module of some sort in the boot saying tv on it when I took all the trim off to fit the towbar.
It would be nice if it’s fairly straight forward to get it working, if not I’m not too fussed.
Command Online quoted £2500-£4000 depending on what parts would be needed.

Handbooks are generic as they cover a plethora of options your car may not have, as seems here.
Look at the data card of your car or pump the vin in a decoder and see if it has the TV option fitted.
Analogue to digital switch was around 2006, so your car will use, if any, digital. You car probably has the bracket, if you are lucky the prewiring, if not the prewiring then it will cost big money for a original system.

I’m not sure. From the bits of info I’m picking up I guess it would have to be chosen as an option.

Putting your chassis number into a VIN decoder should reveal as to whether it has one or not :)
