Decission was taken and we will keep ABC - I am slowly getting the lsit of parts required and even if I will have to spend 1500-2000EUR I will do this to keep as nice as possible. Coilover conversion will cost nearly the same.

I did not want to create a new topic so I will ask here. I want to change all the plastic vacuum hoses. It looks like they are very tiny and my question is. Can I use 4mm or 3mm silicon hoses - that was recommended on the forum in US. This engine outputs so much heat so I was thinking that they would be the best bet.

For example.

Also I will have to get a t-connectors and l-shape connectors is well.
Glad you are keeping CL original with regard to ABC .. my CL600 96,000mls has all the original vac hoses and runs at higher temp than your average engine. those in the US might deteriate quicker..

What about vacum hoses which should I biy. Does it matter if the inside of the hose will be a little bit larger than original 1mm or this doesn’t really matter?

How "little bit"? It needs to be tight on the fittings.

We say inside will be 3mm and outside is 7mm - they are silicon hoses. I will have to get new t pipes for this pipe. I have meassuered the connections where t pipes are connected and on most of the sensors etc it looks like that the end bit that is sliding inside the t pipes is 3mm

That won't be tight enough

Which sizes would you recommend, I can get new connectors for that is well. I thought 3mm to 3mm should be tight enough

Ideally you need to stretch the hose over the fitting. At most 2.5mm. Silicone hoses don't grip very well.

I would say getting the original size connectors and all the T-Connectors and L-Connectors. I will create a separate thread about the work I am putting into this car. Currently it is being re-sprayed.

That's funny I had just emailed them for a price on my calipers . Also try "Big Red" for a quote

I went with www.brakeparts in the end and did the work myself , bcs were a lot more expensive than Biggred, brakeparts for the caliper overhaul . I think the quote for 2 rear calipers overhauled by them with no painting was £300+
