Right,
as some of you know I have some problems with my CLK, once I have them sorted and I have had a call from the trader I have been told by my mate to get a warranty asap.

then my other mate said "they are not worth the paper they are written on"

now I would like to ask you all - would you get a warranty yes or no.


also i need to know who you recommend / who to go with?

I have been told about warrantyworks, and am just looking for some reviews or similar and how people have got on with their warranty companies and who they recommend...

Warranty Direct, Warrantyworks, AA, RAC etc etc etc...

really want your opinion and recommendations here pleasee

I took one out on line with warranty direct a few months ago.

It does not start until the MB warranty runs out. I asked for a quote on line and it was £440, I did nothing about it and they phoned me every week and offered better prices which I said I would think about.

I eventually agreed on 13 months cover for the price of 12, which by this time had been reduced to £260 and it would not start until the car is 3 years old.

I've had a bad experience with one of these warranty companies in the past, but as the CLK has had 4 warranty claims from Mercedes up till now, I thought £260 was a fair price to have some peace of mind at least.

I have a friend with a 2003 Passat, 90,000 miles and he has had a new radiator and 2 new rubber boots on the drive shafts, all paid promptly by Warranty Direct in 3 separate claims. It makes me think I'll go there when my MB Service Contract Plus finishes.
