Water pump replcement on 420SL

Just changed the water pump on my 420SL. It was seeping through the holes top and bottom (seal gone, probably because the car's been standing). What I thought would be a 2 hour job took 4 hours mainly because you have to take the crankshaft pulley system off to get at the last bolt.
The crankshaft pulley bolt undoes ANTICLOCKWISE (normal way) - this stumped me for a while.
Got a new pump for £55 from EuroCarparts (excl shipping).

You would assume it would be anti clock because of the crankshaft rotation. Nice to know
