Hello everyone,

Once again I got myself all confused again.
Can someone please explain the difference in the A207 Cabriolet/Convertible, and the Term W212, is one trim/body/wheels and the other engine model?

I was shopping for parts and hadn't seen the (A207) E class.

W212 is a E-Class saloon car
A207 is an E-Class convertible… however it is based on the W204 (C-Class saloon) chassis

C - Coupe (so C207)
R - Sports car (like SL or SLK/C)
S - Estate car or Station Wagon
W - Saloon (Wagen in German)
X - 4x4 (like my X253)

On the E Class of your era you have
A207, C207, S212 and W212

Aabriolet and Aonvertible
C - Coupe (so C207 the only one they get right)
Rports car (like SL or SLK/C)
Sstate car or Station Wagon
Waloon (Wagen in German)
X4x4 (like my X253)

On the E Class of your era you have
