I love the wheels on your car sir. Especially the rear ones the deep dish is so sexy!

Thank you Jimbo... Yes, they are nice. 245/45x18 P-Zero front and 275/40x18 Conti Sport Contact 2 rear. Luckily with lots of tread left!
But still, an extraordinary amount of rubber!
I know they are the standard colour, but I just wish they were more shiny....

Congrats Craig, no wonder you need an R Class !!!!
Thanks Unkie Jon! Yeah the 251 is going to get a workout this weekend, the youngsters now take up the middle row, eldest is nowfront passenger on her new booster seat for the school run, and 3rd row when both parents (I nearly said grown-ups for a mo, then realised I was talking g about myself). She likes 3rd row best because she gets in and out through the tailgate...

Wow! Sorry missed this chap- congratulations it all starts again!
Cheers John! As a mate said yesterday, now I have someone to teach all about cars and engineering! (And guns and shooting- an excuse to buy some more rifles...)

Shiny! I love that colour.

Thank you!...
Yes, it is nice but a bugger to keep clean!
Apparently quite an extraordinary Colour Combination - AZURITE BLUE - METALLIC (366U) with LEATHER SAFFRON (264A) Interior. Saffron Leather I can't even find!
But at some angles and light it just have a strange "reddish" hue...???

I've almost finished installing better speakers in the S203 as the standard are quite bad and it appeared that the door tweeters weren't working.
I fitted Focal 165AS in the front and 165AC in the back using some MDF mounts I cut.

This was a great upgrade and I just need to decide whether to fit the crossover at the front or leave it as it is using the standard cabling.

Just did west M25 to East M25 in the w203 and realised 5mins in that the left front and rear speakers aren’t working :( Ruined my drive properly :/ any ideas as to where to start looking for the issue? I would have suspected an earthing issue but I suspect the front and rear left speakers would be on a separate channel.

Well not today but yesterday I had to actually go to the office (not been in since December), so 157 miles in the 212 and lovely place it is, almost the longest time I’ve spent in it recently. Anyway on the way back out of Birmingham I was cut up by a 204 220 cdi Uber, let’s just say the rear wasn’t even the worst angle, it had hit helfrauds head on it seems

And yes all the plastic badges were gold colour, had vents in the bonnet, stretched tyres and a diffuser, I really wish I’d got a rear dashcam so you could all have seen it, I instantly though of @JBell

There you go! I'm sure that's what you really meant Matt.

MBs just do not take to “upblinging” like some other brands do. Funny isn’t it, they’re one of the few where “less is more” really does seem to apply.

Well, I drove back at 3am, north part of the M25 closed (I didn’t see any warnings when I drove earlier) which extended my journey by about 20mins via M11,A406,M1 which is the last thing you need at that time of night, but on the plus side the speakers on the left started working again Ó_ò which I am happy about but now I am really confused as to the cause. Hoping it doesn’t happen again!

Any suggestions as to cause or where to investigate? Could it even have just been an error with the COMAND head unit? Had turned it off and on earlier to no avail, as well as the car, but it worked from the get go on the way back. 120mile round trip, avg 46.5mpg as I put my food down in places :)

...true, and there was me thinking that that level of “pimp my ride” started with ex Honda Civic drivers... (VTEC badges all over the place and what not)
