Rather than stay in and wash it I went for a bit of a drive.
I did the 3 Northern routes of the Aberdeenshire Coastal Trail in the day (no point in hanging around...). Had lots of fun actually “driving” as opposed to just steering it occasionally. Very rare these days
I’ve had a most wonderful days driving around some great countryside with very little traffic. My little 3.0 V6 was let lose and was an ideal vehicle for the journey. Great with the top down and I’m struggling to think of a car I’d rather have had for the drive.
If you get up this way I can throughly recommend Cruden Bay

In Fraserburgh the Scottish Lighthouse Museum is well worth a look. I stopped by just to use the facilities. I stayed for lunch - Orcas going past the window heading south chasing seals!
I Then decided to do the tour a really enjoyable visit and very knowledgeable staff.

Sounds like a good day out!
Probably why the roads were so quiet. Everyone washing or fixing theirs...I agree, excellent use of a sunday. I spent mine washing the C class, as I have finally fixed it, after its rear end shunt 3 months ago....
Different story in grockle season.....Probably why the roads were so quiet. Everyone washing or fixing theirs...
That and it’s NE Scotchland so not exactly overpopulated
I was up this way at Easter and away from the major conurbations the roads were still enjoyable. (And I know you know what I mean)Different story in grockle season.....
Hard to get anywhere enjoyably then.
I went up to the Highlands early spring last year in the r129. Going up was great. Not much traffic at all as it was late afternoon. Coming back I was nearly runo the road by a grockle in a minibus gawking at the scenery as he pulled out of a car park. I had to take to the verge to miss him. Not pleased.I was up this way at Easter and away from the major conurbations the roads were still enjoyable. (And I know you know what I mean)
I’ve spent way too much time on the Southern end of M6, all of the M1 and M25 etc so am a bit jaded to enjoying driving in the U.K. these days.
You could have taken a little detour and visited one of my favourite little villages up past the broch at Pennan- you might know it but for those who don’t , the harbour and iconic phone box were locations for Local Hero years ago.....Rather than stay in and wash it I went for a bit of a drive.

More of a southern phrase for an annoying tourist !I have to ask, what's a grockle?
Tourist?
Englishman?
Summut else?
I’ll add it to the listYou could have taken a little detour and visited one of my favourite little villages up past the broch at Pennan- you might know it but for those who don’t , the harbour and iconic phone box were locations for Local Hero years ago.....

Grockles in the Lake District (lots and lots of them...)Specifically, a Devonian term for tourists.
Once they cross in to Kernow, they become Emmetts... apparently!

Not been for many a year but this used to be a great wee find!
Crows are vicious sods when they want to be.Not so much done to mine, but done around mine.
It would seem that we have a well-trained crow, that took a dislike to one of the local pigeons.
Saw feathers everywhere on decking & patio this morning, a short while later the good lady went out and found the headless corpse of the pigeon, and Mr Crow flew off to the roof opposite to watch us clear up.
If I can feed him up a bit more, I may lease him out to you guys with seagull issues!
