Yes I think his RS wasn't running very well, had flames out the drain pipes at the rear and big bangs on changing down approaching the roundabout, that where I caught him up and blasted passed on the dual carriageway, once we got to 70 we stayed at that, I was in front at the next roundabout too

Was actually yesterday but took the old girl for a drive around Suffolk. Had some fun with a combine harvester on the A12 and then a close encounter with 'tractorboy' down a country lane. Treated her to new rear tyres, then once I was home, hosed her down, cos it looked like she'd been through a haystack in the Sahara!

Sarah, you need an AMG, we spit at combine harvesters, though tractor boys you need fast reactions

I drove an RS6 in Germany , my ex boss thought it might be nice if I drove us out to his 'club' , think 315km/h when he said "we're coming off the autobahn in 2k", I shrugged and he said "like that's NOW" all in the space of a few seconds - good brake test!
They are a quick beast right enough

Took the CLS to the local MB garage to get an estimate for the lower half of the nearside mirror after finding it broken when I first washed it.
£245 plus VAT which Mercedes of Norwich is paying because I didn't spot it on handover/collection.
Very kind of them I thought!

Notes on my service is that my 2x front Pirelli tyres are "perished over the tread" slight cracking but not down to canvas, most odd, apparently not an MOT failure but they reckon tyres will need changing before tread wears out, never heard this before?

They are only a few years old, mechanic said still safe until they reach canvas, hairline like spider web...

Ozone damage it happens over time. I’d continue to use them and “enjoy” the car until they’re worn out
