Yes, yes it should

I think the engine rev's are quite high too as at 60mph it is reading 1950rpm and the engine does seem to rev higher than normal.
There's a possibility that the Torque Convertor isn't operating correctly as the trans seems to do all sorts of tricks, but worse of all is the horrible surging from around 20mph to 45mph and the fierce gearchange from first to second, and what feels like over revving, and slipping transmission, though once up to temperature all smoothed out. There are no faults showing either. Today after leaving my Indy the car is starting to surge a little as you slow down with the foot off the throttle. This shows up on the rev counter. I am going to book the car in and have it checked when cold so it should throw up a fault with any luck. The symptoms are pointing to a Torque convertor issue...........The car is determined to destroy my bank account in anyway it can. Maybe there is evil in its sole.................

Not sure on your model but on some the torque converter is fed by the same gearbox fluid and if the fluid levels aren’t right they can start acting weird. Same can be the case if the fluid is tainted. Garage should be able to check the fluid levels and may also have the kits to test if the fluid is compromised. These make sense if the issue is temperature dependant.

The model is on my signature, I have had 3 211's and have really enjoyed them, I still love this one.
The transmission was serviced last month and today my Indy checked the oil level which was fine. I think this car had this fault for a while, even before I bought it as it had a new turbo activator fitted and when I test drove the car it drove fine. When I think back to that day it dawned on me that the temp gauge was reading just under 80 degrees but never gave it another thought. Alarm bells should have rang out loudly but seeing I bought the car of a Mercedes Specialist thought that there would not be a problem seeing they had serviced the car for the last 10 years....or had they. There were so many tell tale signs that indicate that its never seen clean oil or antifreeze for 10 years. But hey ho, I usually buy cars that are on there last legs for next to nothing and turn them around and fill my bank account. This one was the opposite, good car, top price and it is emptying my bank account

We've found that these work very well in an SL:
roadsterbag-suitcase-bag-set-specially-designed-for-smart-roadster.jpg
Designed for a Smart Roadster two of the large ones fit in the boot very well with the one on the left fitting across the end of them.
The large one also fits behind the seats well too.

Do you have a link please?
Sadly no longer available new and in fairly high demand used.
I got the last set I think

Just found these though:

Very similar.

I was all set for an MOT failure on the E class after hearing and being unable to pin down a clunking noise in the last 3 weeks . My cunning plan was the tester would find it , fail the car and inform me what it was so I could repair it.
Any way the car passed with flying colours , so I’m going to have to find someone who knows what they are doing to find it . It’s probably some front ball joint .
To celebrate this little win , I changed the oil on the E class , sump drain because it was sunny

Just hit the tinternet and ordered some bits for the suspension knock from Autodoc . I’ve ordered up some of the likely suspects .
Front control arm bushes , inner and outer ball joints and inner tie rod’s , all Lemforder .
Ive got them for both sides (£145 all in ) .
Its not a total stab in the dark because when my Indy did the engine and tranny mounts in September he mentioned that an outer ball joint and an inner tie rod needed attention at some point .
