A few years back my sister had a Peugeot 307 and got bad fuel from Morrisons, had to have their tank pumped, evacuated and flushed before they could run the vehicle. Like you, I only stopped at Morrison’s as the fuel cost on the dual carriageway was 146.99 and I was not about to pay that, so I put 1/2 a tank in at the Morrison’s I passed. Going to have to put some better fuel in with my normal half bottle of redex

At least it was only a half tank ;)

I'll only use V power now unless it's a dire emergency. Remember the Tesco fuel debacle?
I'm sure loads of people have no issues at all but for me it's mess me around once, shame on you, mess me around twice, shame on me!!

Today the 3rd brake light on the SLK has stopped working, it was working intermittently last year so ordered a new one off Grangemouth MB. When the new part arrived the old one decided it was going to work properly again. Just as well I didn't return the 3rd brake light :D

Also bought for the Money Pit a transmission dipstick and one 3rd row seatbelt that was missing when I bought the car and have ordered a replacement power steering pipe, this car is going to be 'so new' when I am finished buying stuff for it :)
If you haven’t already, please don’t discard the old one, I’d like to have a go at repairing it

Cleaned the load space after lugging two and a half electric wheelchairs home with eight batteries. Hardly felt the weight.

Sorted out the incorrectly fitted fuse box cover and broke the other half of the broken clip!

Tried cleaning some trim, steering wheel feels better and the seats will come up nicely.

Longer wheel bolts arrived so I trial fitted the 18" wheels. I will contact Lepsons tomorrow and see if they can repair the damage front or I need another. If they can, I might have these on in 10 days.

Also Mot'd my V40 T4 that has stood for 11 years.

When I use newer vehicles I definitely use V power, but not in older vehicles as it doesn’t seem to help as much. As soon as I swap to the CLS (when I find the right one) I will be using V power. For now I will continue the redex regime. I am on strike 2 of the mess-me-around with Morrison’s fuel so I will be avoiding from here on in.

I can highly recommend the Shooting Brake in 350d guise.
I waited a while to find mine because I wanted all the extras...Airmatic, Drivers Assistance Package, Premium Plus, Non black interior, Distronic.

Getting ready for the CT and the last time they mentioned verbally that the rear fog light was on the "wrong side" and it would be a good idea to transfer it to the other or have two.
So I ran a wire between the two as although the LHS has a socket it has no wiring nor connector so after a bit of soldering it works. WP_20210626_12_44_55_Pro.jpg
The photo shows that many hands make light work. :D
OK I'll get my coat:(

Not today but Wednesday. I was woken up by the Mrs, 0400 exactly. “Craig wake up. I think I’m having a baby!” 57 minutes later, that’s exactly what she did with Muggins here acting as midwife to the directions of the 999 ambulance dispatcher. Cue new baby daughter, all beautiful and perfectly formed.

No signs of pregnancy, except a sore tummy the night before. No apparent bulge. No morning sickness.

Ambulance arrived 15 minutes later to sort things out and take mum & baby to hospital. They’re both fine and, I’m glad to say, were collected in style to drive home in the CL500.

Child no.4; glad we have the LWB R class! There’s only one seat spare now.

Are your creating a football team there Craig, or is it just a new r&d department?
Either way, enjoy the new (unexpected) arrival and good to hear she has taste and style already.

although I’ve just thought, didn’t you think about moving recently because you needed a bigger house, think you might now need it sooner rather than later lol

Congrats Craig.

Perhaps instead of moving, a couple of bricks might be a cheaper option as you enjoy DIY :)

Yes, that thought has been mooted recently along with “I’ll never have any money again”!

Washed the 212 today first time in 10 months, its been in the garage all that time. Started first time & did a 300 mile trip last weekend.
Congratulations all round, and Big Welcome to the new arrival!!!
My wife is a retired midwife, in the 48 years since she qualified we have only had one knock at the door in the night. That was in Germany & she did deliver the baby.
