Serviced the vacuum cleaner, in my defence it was not cleaning the interior of the car. New filtered ordered, jesus from Craig's description sounds like my vacuum cleaner and his car (pre-cleaned) were similar. Now instant improvement of suction.

I also had to strip, clean and rebuild that ruddy Dyson. It had about 9000 foot of cat hair twisted around the rollers!

Washed yesterday and rained on last night!
Drove to Waitrose to get a treat for my birthday.
Some nice Cava, a bottle of 1792 and, result!, a bottle of Jim Beam Double Oak for £20.
Should have fun watching the footie tonight whatever the outcome!

I’ve thrown it in the garage and bought a Shark. We only got the Dyson because it’s an Animal, for the cat hair… this Shark is also Hepa filter rated, and oh my God did my FPO feel embarrassed, she tried it out on the children’s bedroom carpets (vacuumed two days before with aforesaid Dyson) and pulled up two full cylinders of… dirt. The carpets went back to
Looking almost new. That thing is a beast!

Shocking repair work from the past.
As I am incapable, my son is sorting out the door mirror indicator not working, a real top notch past repair.
It must have been on the verge of failing until helped along with someone hitting the door mirror while parked heading for the MoT test.......

Well, I’ve just thrown the snow foam lance and Nilfisk over the 215 as it’s been a while since it was last cleaned. A zero effort wash, not too bad a result I think.

Glad to see the back of our Dyson. Too heavy for a start and wasn't the best in the market place. We have replaced it with a Shark, much lighter and you havn't got all of that flex trailing behind you. Wife is happy with it so job done

Yep, can’t speak too highly of Sharks. The one we just bought is an upright cylinder type, mains powered but very easily manoeuvrable and light. We also have a little GTech cordless for the caravan which is a nifty piece of kit.

Finished painting the other two wheels after being on gardening duties for a few days!
Odd how you seem to be quicker and perfect the technique just as you finish the last one, certainly better than the first. Definitely need to mask carefully between the inner and outer wheel to prevent over spray and needless rubbing down, avoid high temperatures and three good wet coats of lacquer.
Remains to be seen how long it will last but certainly a visual improvement but whether it was worth four days work depends on how much you like gardening.
The question is do I redo the outside of the front ones again?
Can't take long...

Drove 300 miles from North Wales , through heavy rain showers . Does anyone know how to remove the Angel Vision H2GO from the front screen ? It worked well as a water repellent coating at motorway speeds , but when you slowed down and used the wipers to keep the glass clear there was a judder, by the time I got home mother of God was it juddering !

When cleaning the screen before applying RainX they say to use meths or similiar it cleaned it for me.

There's nothing like a set of well painted wheels and here's a few photos of nothing like a set of well painted wheels but it's an improvement.
At least I got to put all the shiny new brake parts on (total cost for all OE ATE parts front and rear discs, pads, flexibles, front dust shields, rear hand brake shoes and pad retaining clips €260 including delivery from a German supplier Daparto).
Finally managed to get the rear wheels back on this morning in between the deluges (my mate says what are you doing working between two old French cars?).
That'll do me for the moment until I get around to replacing the air intake pipe to the air filter which is starting to sag again.

I’ve already got it with the H2GO

Actually noticed a bit of the same thing after applying RainX but just turned the wipers off at low speed and thought I needed new blades again
May try putting some RainX on the blades!

Does anyone know how to remove the Angel Vision H2GO from the front screen ?

I've always used a fine (0000 grade) steel wool on glass. It cleans without scratching and should remove all previous coatings.

Spent a couple of hours cleaning mine after attending a meet this morning and getting caught in all those horrendous downpours.



Also tried to get the interior back to normal after my muddy shoe trespass in it but failed miserably on the carpet stripes. Get them again tomorrow.
