After 2 weeks on the road with my kids in the W251 it needed a clean inside - a nice car to clean as its all rather accessible with a handheld vacuum, but its ****** big.
So a good vacuum, leather cleaned and fed, windows cleaned.
Took me all day yesterday.
Might give it a wash today.

The same as I have fitted at the moment (Sachs) I just searched on the MB part number via Autodoc . Got Sachs springs as well , with the same colour code as I have .
So hopefully there will be no issues

I ordered Bilstein B4 and had to cancel as they were quoting 6 weeks plus to supply. I ended up with B6 rears and B8 fronts using the original springs and new Arnott air springs when the originals failed.

B8s are designed for use with lowering springs and are short stroke to prevent the spring leaving the spring seat at full extension.
Not sure using standard springs is a great idea as it increases the likelihood of the wheel losing contact with the road on bigger bumps.

Adjusted the CLK parking brake at the rear shoes (rather than under the seat ) . Bit of a faff as I always have difficulty remembering which side is up to tighten/loosen . Then when I change sides I’m getting it all wrong again .
Maybe I should write it down on a piece of paper next to each wheel

I got the wiper blades from EuroParts, only £18.99

Thought about changing the rear shock absorbers and anti-roll bar drop links I bought back last October but anytime the idea crosses my mind the temperature goes from the merely uncomfortable tropical to the mid-Saharan. Luckily no pressing long journeys planned.
Looks like aircon garages are a safe investment.

After all that the Wiper Blades are the wrong ones. Finally got the old blades off after watching instructions on YouTube, or at least my Son-in-Law did

Getting the correct ones from Halfords to-morrow, £23 from there. The Europarts one offer ended today

Went out to do a few minutes tinkering and ended up 3.5 hours later having done this .
Washed with a wax stripper , CG Clean Slate
Dried the car
DA polish with manzerna (spelling?) 3800 fine cut on the main surfaces with a 6” pad
Dodo juice lime prime on the bits I’d missed
Poorboys White Diamond glaze
Chemical Guys Jetseal
I never touched the wheels , before any one says they are dirty .
Not bad for a 14 year old car
