Yesterday....
Ripped apart the interior of the 230 to try and find why theres no sound from the headunit.
Found lots of Malcolm's custom wiring which was a challenge to unravel and a fuse under the centre console that had blown that powered some of his add-ons so now the dash cam works again.
Still no sound though.
Diags on the head unit suggest the D2B loop is down as the headunit can't see any other device (amplifier, cd changer, voice control, telephone are all offline). Not convinced another fuse isn't blown somewhere even though I've checked them all.

I'm starting to think the next step could well be an Android head unit and bin the old Command unit.
It’s a pre-facelift one, right? Small screen?

Took the wife to fracture clinic she fell over on holiday 2 weeks ago & strapped it up, last week we went to minor injuries who referred her.
Much to her surprise they put it in plaster for 2 weeks, which means no bike rally at the weekend.
Used the SLC 53mpg for the 50 miles, sorry no pics.

It is. With Bose too.
The repair cost is £300, at least it was 2 years ago when I had the 215 done. At that price an Android might very well be the way to go.

That’s what irks me a little. That makes very expensive motoring what with the cost of fuel. In 29 months I have managed to cover 6,000 miles.

The last service included the transmission oil change. I have forgotten the exact price without pulling out the invoice but it was around £600+ I think

When I think back to my teens and twenties I’ve bought decent cars a lot cheaper than that

Yup, mine is an "A" service with Brake Fluid, I provide the Oil so not too bad, it was 65 days over the 12 months but it's no real issue.

Transmission was done 2 years ago costing £200

Picked it up from its A service, all done, also had the Poly V Belt replaced as it was starting to squeak, Turbo seal and the Air Mass Seals replaced as they were cracked

Also re-greased the offside caliper as it was sticking.

Diagnostics all clear.
