I spent 5 hours driving mine, top down and getting quite a lot of sun.

Ahhh the satisfaction of a 'home fix'.

Both wing mirrors refused to fold out even though I had the auto fold/open when locking and unlocking car set. Prior to this happening I had folded in the mirrors with the switch only to find the fold out option switch no longer functioned so no movement at all from the mirrors - switch problem I thought.
Then I came across this -
... if the mirrors are in and the Out switch doesn't work you can disconnect the cable from the switch and momentarily short pins 2 and 5 - the mirrors will then fold out.
So removed the side panel from the dash to expose the fuses and the rear of the switch, unclipped the wiring harness from the switch shorted pins 2 and 5 and out they popped with that reassuring mechanical whirring noise. Now that they have been freed by the switch they fold and unfold with the key as they should. Of course I need to rectify the failed switch which I will order from ebay - cheapest fix!

Thought about putting the summers back on but looked at the forecast and decided we haven’t finished with winter yet.

Took it for a four hour drive and put it through a car wash. Some nice clean top down fun

Finally got round to a set of injectors car has a new lease of life oh and rear pads, shoes and discs, suspension spheres its fine.
The old ones I had tested they were worn with oval holes.

Today... I was glad to get home.

And yes, that is 277 miles to half a tank in a 215.

Put an end to panoramic roof problem after finding the passenger side guide had a bit broken. Took motor out pulled cables tight so roof was closed
Sealed it off so it can’t jiggle open
to cause wind noise.
Blind still works find and got duel climate control so don’t really need the roof opening.
Has been a pain as last 2 weeks but that’s put an end to it.
