What Spec For New SLK?

Have decided to go for a new SLK and am wondering what specification would be good, both for enjoyment and residual value.

Can afford the 200SLK version, and was thinking of just the auto box, leather and metallic paint as essential.

Has anyone got any other ideas, and if anyone's got one how have you found living with your spec?

I don't normally buy new but have always wanted an SLK - current car is a 1997 E Class estate...

Waiting for mine to be delivered in October...

For me, anything to help you use it with the roof down in the cold - I've gone for heated seats, AirScarf (brilliant!!) and heated steering wheel (unnecessary but hey!). Also, the standard alloys look crap!! I've gone for the 10 spokes.

Of course, after all this expenditure, SWMBO won't let me drive it anyway......! :roll:

Sounds like a bit of extra heat might be a good idea then! Think I'll go for a cd multichanger and the upgraded sound system too.

Only real worry is delivery - although it will be a UK car Sainsbury's Bank tell me it'll be available in June, but MB dealers are quoting over a year...
