My review of the “wheel Woolies” wheel cleaning kit
Firstly I must stress that my wheels were just dirty and not filthy..
Nevertheless this review is relevant because not everyone has a bi annual wheel cleaning cycle!
The kit comprises of 3 “woolies: (1st photo)
The longest Large Wheel Woolie is 440mm long and has a 75mm diameter wool head. Use this long handled Wheel Woolie to reach deep into the wheels.
The Medium Wheel Woolie is also 440mm long with a 45mm diameter wool head. This one is ideal for smaller wheel gaps, air diffusers, door jams, engine areas, etc.
The Small Wheel Woolie for small gaps, like grilles, and narrow spoke wheels. It is 200mm long and 25mm in diameter.
The first thing you notice when using the large “woolie’ in particular is the weight of it as you remove from the bucket of soapy water is its weight.
Unlike conventional brushes these woolies hold loads of water!
They aren’t actually brushes in the true sense.. More like furry mops.
They are very soft and are much LESS likely to damage the Alloy wheel lacquer that some of the stiff wheel brushes out there.
Photo 3 shows the large "woolie" in use full of soapy water.
Photo 4 shows how deeply you can go with these. Its easily up to going right through the wheel to the far side.
Photo 5 shows that you angle the "woolie" in order to get to the inside of the spokes... Incidentally they also do a "woolie" with a 90 degree bend in its neck to get behind the spokes.. I think its called a "Rashman Woolie" Lol
