Where are C-Class models built?

I have just purchased my 1st MB. It's a C220 CDI Sport coupe that's 18 months old and I love it to bits. I call it MILCA (MId Life Crisis Automobile)
I have also joined the esteemed Mercedes Benz Owners Forum and on looking through have discovered that not all Mercedes Benz cars are built in Germany.
Can anybody tell me where my car was built? I have tried to find the VIN Plate, but to no avail. It's certainly not anywhere obvious in the engine bay!

Vin No will be, near side bottom of the windscreen.

I know that is where the Vin No: is. I was looking for the whole plate which gives information on build. Or am I old fashioned and they don't put these on cars any more?

All Sport Coupes were made in Germany. Production of the current model recently ceased and the production line has been transferred to Brazil where a faceilifted version soon start production.

Should also tell you country were built on driver side door post there is a plate located there

Put your VIN in here. One of the many pieces of information it should then give you is the factory location code. You can find a chart on the net. I can't remember if I saw it here or via Google.
