If I siphon the petrol from a car that I have not used for few years into safe containers, how to get rid of it safely and legally?

Your local recycling centre might be able take it.

I‘d probably mix it in at a low concentration or use it in the mower. (Doesn’t work if you have an electric mower…)

How much is there? When I drained the old fuel from my bike the other year, I just added it to the tanks of other cars a bit at a time.

Not environmentally friendly I'm guessing, but if you leave it in an open top container, like a large jug or tray, it evaporates in no time.

But I like the idea of a little bit to a tankful to use it up.

It’d work a treat on my electric mower. Hate the damn thing with a passion!

Add a gallon to every nearly full tank.
With what it costs no sense in wasting it!
