hi all a newbie here. Iv had similar problems with revs and accelaration and was told its the MAF (diagnostic computer stated). Iv read on the forum and price varied from 50 (ecp) to 300, also I have seen the diagram someone posted of where the MAF is located but I cant make out anything from it! could someone please perhaps give me a bit more info on how to locate and replace? thanks

p.s 2002 c220 is the one I have, (saloon) i assume its a w203.

The sensor bit cost on average £57 from any Bosch service center

thanks sam/unit sorry if I sound a bit silly. Im a complete novice at it, I opened the bonnet and to be honest am totally confused, so may just end up taking it to a garage :(, looking at the engine would I have to remove any covers etc to get to it?

Open bonnet, look to the left of the engine, theres a long black box along the side of the engine, at the front of that long box is a sensor with a muti-plug going to it, thats the sensor you need to replace!!!

hi all thanks t Sam and television for their input. managed to change the sensor (part from ecp) and its still causing a problem as before. Any suggestions on what else could it be? The diagnostic computer had MAF fault so I thought this would have done it?
