Hi Folks!

Sorry if this sounds like a rant, but I can't help it. I want to add the following accessories to my new C180K when I pick it up at the factory: Door Sills (Stainless Steel), Chrome Tailpipe, & Silver/Blue wheel covers (the classic MB symbol).

The MSRP for all of these items is £163. The dealer wants to charge me £250 labour to install them. Uhhh, excuse me? I'll fit them myself, thank you.

Now all I have to do is find where I can purchase them other than the dealer. They have told me that I can not purchase them unless I agree to spending the labour; that they must be professionally installed.

Are there any recommended places for purchasing these items, besides eBay (can't rely on the quality after reading a few postings/warnings here).

TIA,

Maybe in the factory accessories shop?

Others on here have bought "normal" accessories (phone cradles etc) while on site for a pick up and reported that pricing is roughly 1Euro = £1 - a serious saving.

I do not think that MB can refuse to sell you the parts you need, I have the instructions to fit them, the Sill plates are OK if made by the Dutch firm in stainlee steel, alli is useless as it would mark to easily.
