Hi guys

I have just got a 1984 W123 300TD and want to do some basic servicing but am finding difficulty in getting items such as gaskets.

I have tried the main chain Autofactors and they don't even list the model to order the parts in, a local private one can get them special order from Germany but will have to pay carriage to the UK.

I know the main dealers do this stuff but my experiance with other marques is that they are normally very pricey.

Where do you guys get these things from.

Best regards

Darren

One thing you will find is that Mercedes main dealers are reasonable for parts, always worth checking them out first!!
Here's a couple more places to try -
http://www.mercedes-benz-parts.co.uk/default.aspx This is a Mercedes main dealer that does mail order with a discount,so you can see what Mercedes prices are like. All orders command £6P&P though so may be cheaper just to go to your local dealer, does help if you have a part number for this site too.
http://www.gsfcarparts.com/ Mail order or plenty of shops nationwide.
http://www.eurocarparts.com/ Same as above ;)
