Which oil would you recommend for a CLK55 AMG?

Saw mobile 1 in the handbook, just wanted to check if Mobile 1 was used by all.
Also, which grade oil is commonly used for our English climate ?

Mobil 1, Synthetic S 5W40 is what MB used in my car.

MB now use a Shell version as its cheaper than Mobile 1.

Yes and not fully synth either, local MB to me buy oil from local car accessory shop !!!!!!!

I emailed AMG in Germany and got a prompt reply that they only recommend Mobil 1. Seems the dealers think otherwise, using Shell Helix... I know which advice I will follow!
