whining noise when accelerating

hey guys. i recently test drived on a GLE when i took it on its test drive there was a whining noise when accelerating and when i was reaching higher speeds. . i’ve also seen reviews saying its a quiet car so i don’t know if this is normal. i didn’t take it in and they said they’ll check it. . does anyone here have a gle that can confirm it does or does not make the noise. thanks

Best thing to do is to road test another one and compare your experience. Noises can be very subjective. Also, did you establish whether the noise was related to engine speed or road speed, was it front or rear sounding?

Best thing to do is to road test another one and compare your experience. Noises can be very subjective. Also, did you establish whether the noise was related to engine speed or road speed, was it front or rear sounding?

that’s exactly what i was gonna do. however they had 2 but on the day i went they had sent the other too london. the noise was from the front
