AMGs are perfectly OK to drive everyday, why wouldn’t you ? It’s as reliable as any other Mercedes.

I used to do the commute in mine, before lockdown. Now I work from home.

I bought mine to use as my daily driver, I traded my e240 daily driver in on it, I have cover over 33,000mls in mine since I bought it and 6 months of that time it wasn't used because we were away on holiday. I kind of don't use it as much now because my weekly wage my wife gives me dropped from £100 per week to now £60 a week, so I do like to have a little money left over to live on such as food and drink instead of the 55 having it all. So bought the e320cdi, but that's turning out much more expensive to run than the 55

Yes I have done 40,000 miles in my SL55 AMG, I wonder if the OP is referring to fuel and servicing costs ? It depends how you drive of course, but if you want 60 MPG, buy a Toyota Starlet, (That's what the MIL drives). If you own an older AMG like we do, find a good Independent specialist, they will help keep the car on the road for a reasonable outlay.

Yup, my C63 was my only car, so daily it was. Blumin loved it, just stopped looking too closely at fuel bills.

Although i have other cars at my disposal all by the way are as bad on fuel and even though the cl is giving me a headach right now you just cant get board of that sound!

My E63 is my daily.
But since I have retired, it doesn't get much mileage put on it.
I've only done around 600 miles since it was serviced last September
