Based on your temperatures you've left it very late. Lucky not to have had an accident :)

only ever used them ONCE on my focus, and only then because I needed tyres and bought some part worn ones that just happened to be winter tyres!

I will take a chance ... Having spent £2k on wheels and tyres so far this year on the old SL and the BMW I have had enough of tyre buying...

Used to have a C63...
Mine should be arriving soon!

Had a couple of mornings last week in Cov & Soli-Hull where it was 4 on the thingy gauge and a couple of people were scraping windows.

Figure with the shorter days, road temps are below 7 most mornings and evenings now.

Put my the winter tyres on my wifes SLK200K two weeks ago, & mine on my E350CDI last week.
My wife leaves for work at 7am & its been down below 7c for the last 2 weeks.
Have a look at the link even at 10c on a wet road the winter tyres are far better.

I just put on brand new 16 inch 225/60 102V Nokians WRA3 under the W220... and it feels wonderful. Temps are hugging the single digits here now... W210 also has its winters on, should be OK for one more season :)

Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4's back on. I'm unsure whether I'll take them off, I feel they are a far superior tyre to the OE Potenzas.

These tyres have got a very good name, I am sure that they started out in life as Gislaved Gummi and Nokia bought the tyre devision many years ago. I used them in Sweden many years ago, they are top on every test.

We had our first frost this week and I'll be fitting mine to the VW on Saturday, of course I've just changed from my 4x4 Volvo into a 2wd BM ready for the winter...

Winter tyres been on my wifes Lexus RX all year......really need to buy a new set next year!

The ML has all weathers on, not as good but then I do not intend to use it much during the snow anyway!

I haven't put mine on yet...they are still in the shed.

Should imagine I will put them on in the next couple of weeks....I am in no rush though if I need to get around I will just put the Land Rover 90 into service....that has M&S tyres on it anyhow.
