Just for future reference Malcolm. When doing exterior plastics spray it on liberally and leave it to soak in overnight (same when doing anything in the engine bay) then wipe up any excess and give the plastic a buff up with a clean microfibre cloth. The durability of the finish last a lot longer then.

Not too much of an issue of not a daily driver. But give it a try if you have time next time you apply it.

Back to tyreshine, I use the Meguiars Endurance tyre gel. Applied with a small sponge pad its pretty good provided you don't put it on too thickly. It lasts a couple of weeks.

For the most part I prefer my tyres to be nothing more than clean like the rest of the car.......never really bought in to the tyre shine/product thing......although I do have a few products for the purpose.......special occasions only.

Hello Chris......not sure MrsB would welcome my pinching her extra virgin olive oil and ''baby oil'' should not be wasted on cars.....nor babies !!!***???

I just used a tooth brush, it took minutes, then left it and have not touched it since
