White e 250 how dark can I do the back window and the 2 rear side windows
Got roof black and black wheel centres .
No boot lettering . White calipers .
What u think would white look good with the windows tinted .

you can brick them up if you want screen & front door windows need to let 70% (?) light through so as they're generally something like that from the factory it's best to leave them as they

How dark can the rear be , I don't like the big white car with so much beige
Leather showing it spoils the look .

The rears can be as dark as you like. It's only the front and side windows that have a limit, as mentioned above.

What ever you do, do not use metalized film on the rear window.

How can you tell if it's metalized film is it a silver tint .
Would not like it put on without me knowing what it is ,or how to tell difference .

Been quoted £180 by local firm to do rear 7 windows of an E-class estate. Just need to speak to insurance company first before I go ahead to make sure they won't charge me a fortune for 'modifying' my car.

I do agree with you,if no one can see you, what is then point.

I had my W203 done as it protects the kids and the interior and also if something smashed the window with the film on it wouldn't shatter as the film would hold it

As said, as dark as you like .... or brick it up so you can't see through it at all

Very true and as it is UV protective is makes it safer.

Yup, OEM privacy glass is 20% i.e it lets 20% light through

Window Tints

Hi there, just saw 'Televisions' comment on Window tints, I am pretty sure the rear passenger windows and anything rear of that ie cargo area and tailgate window there is no legal limit on those as far as tint level, it is only the front driver and passenger windows and windscreen that must not go beyond the legal limit as far as amount of light passing thru the glass, The law enforcers have a gadget they put against the glass to check this.
The MOT will also pass or fail on this aspect, I have had 'limo black' tints on my estate on rear passenger side windows and further back incl tailgate for quite a few years and its always passed with no comment on these at all.

Correct. There is no legal limit from the B Pillar back.

ive yet to see this rule applied, if thats the case. it SHOULD be enforced rigorously, but isnt. around here it seems to be a certain group of people who do this and get away with it.
