windscreen direction setting not working

Here's hoping for some jems of wisdom

The fan works but the diretion setting doesn't I cant get hot air to blow on my windscreen
Ive checked the cabling on the back of the heater /fan cluster its hooked up there and when I pull on the cable gentle it doesn't pull through so im sure its connected at the other end.

Any how does anyone know how I can this working again with taking the whole of the dash off.
I was thinking of trying to run a wire coat hanger down the screen vent to try and push open the flap/shutter open it.

Any ideas would be very very welcome

pulled out cabin filter

Nailed it

I read some posts about boosting the air flow by removing the cabin filter
And hay presto after that im now getting good air flow on my windscreen.


Im very happy now
