Year Built?

I've seen somewhere on here a link to a website where you can find out exactly when your car was manufactured, not registered.
From memory I think you can trace this from the model number/ W number.
My question is what is the website?

Thanks, I went on the second site. Problem is as I don't speak Russian or even drink vodka I didn't know what I was actually looking for. There were various dates and I think it is 22/01/1998. This was detailed in box marked "Retard", is this the correct section.

I could always post my VIN No and someone could confirm. Although this may seem daft due to vehicle cloning I can't see the issue as this is displayed on the front windscreen on passenger side. So if somebody really wanted this from any Merc they could just stand next to it and jot it down. Am I right?
