Has anyone noticed the tone of the BBC towards the Donald has changed ?

It now appears there are women young and old who will vote for him and hispanics, black voters etc

Must be that narrowing of the polls :)

No, the last I heard the Beeb were still calling him horrid names and not at all completely misrepresenting factual reporting of events. Has something shifted in the last day or so? I freely admit I've not seen/ heard much news, I've been upto my eyeballs either in work or trying to sleep.

His domestic policy is thin compared to the positive stuff from Clinton, $15 minimum wage, large infrastructure projects spending, gun control, and a clear path to citizenship for illegals

And continued withdrawl of control of the government by the people.

$15 min wage... clearly doesn't understand inflation!

About £12 an our in our newly devalued currency but not a lot in the world's wealthiest nation, as for inflation, as the $ soars their imports are having a deflationary effect. Strange that increased wages for the poor are always seem as inflationary but wages increases for the rich aren't. However it may need to be matched to increased taxes on the wealthy, something she has hinted at but not committed.

Clearly you are a genius...so tell us how in a world of universally greater wages you will...prevent people spending it?

You do realise that Hilary's rather bald aim is to make the ultra rich Liberal supporters even richer & more influential, directly st the expense of the proles, don't you?

Oh of course, rich people spend their money on luxuries and whey hey we have the magic trickle down effect. That doesn't exist as well you know, and poor people spend their money on just surviving paying rent to rich people, on buying food from billionaire owned supermarkets and clothing from sweatshops in Asia. They might have a few cents left over to pay the local loan shark

Unfortunately there's always a balance to be struck, left wing regimes collapse or suffer coup d'etats because the employers chose economic chaos as their best weapon to destroy them. Allende, Weimar, and as we watch Venezuela. Centrists like the Democrats need the co-operation of capitalism and that might mean the appearance of tax increases for rich billionaires but you are correct in that it almost never happens.

Clinton.

The Clinton Foundation has been receiving huge sums of money from Saudi Arabia for years, The Government of which, along with Qatar, that has been funding and helped create ISIL/ISIS and their predecessors, the most brutal terrorists the world has ever seen, The Al Saud monarch has voiced his support for Hilary Clinton, and would very much like her to win the presidential election.
Well there's a surprise!

Only a surprise to those who have not followed the Clintons... there is much debate over a list of I believe 83 people (and counting) who have fallen foul of them either in business or politics, and wound up with mysterious cases of the terminally dead.

A thoroughly unsavoury couple really.

I describe Trump as the purgative candidate, but it's Hilary who has "something of the night" about her as Anne Widdicombe so famously said about Michael Howard.

Its as though she operates inside a mannequin,I have this is there something missing from Madame Tussauds feeling about her ?

Watching the surreal footage of her between the celebrity couple Beyonce and Jay Z was very odd.

I was thinking who could Donald go on stage with Hinge and Bracket came to mind.

It's all supply and demand.

The more people can afford to spend, the greater the demand, the lower the supply and, as if by magic, prices will rise...this is inflation.

You are the one bringing extreme wealth to the table...which probably inflates the price of Rolls Royces...but little else.

Do you honestly believe that if the minimum wage was increased to, say, £10 per hour overnight this wouldn't have an inflationary effect. I'm not saying it's right...but it's fact.

We have had negligible inflation since the introduction of the minimum wage in the UK, it's jumping up now because of Brexit. What it does show is how big or small the pool of labour is at the lower earning level. If it were the bulk of workers it could have an impact on inflation but there are so many variables that mitigate this, for example taxes on cigarettes alcohol and fuel have a greater impact on the poorest, they pay more tax as a % of their income, that tax take mitigates their increased pay in its inflationary effect. A richer person choosing to buy a Mercedes Benz at an significantly increased cost due to Brexit is fuelling inflation by a greater degree, translated into hundreds of thousands of middle class people holidaying in the EU and buying Volkswagens and you get a big jump in inflationary pressure

One of the most compelling parts of the polling data is that a very high proportion of those who meet Trump in person, like him more. A lot more. That goes for people both for and against him in the voting stakes... apparently he is a likeable man and this is borne out in his winning new votes amongst people who were previously anti- Trump.

With the Braying She-Ass it is the exact opposite. She would do better to lock herself in her office until the 8th.

"Something of the night" is quite apt. She is looking at the world that she sees- and it involves opportunity and preying on the weak and needy- not just people.

Paul, you have an answer for everything...but a solution for none.
