Thanks chaps, yes mum is now doing well after a blood clot and uterus infection.
She slept all the way home from the hospital so I think she was very snug in the boat, daddies driving was a little more subdued compared to normal, will try harder in the future when she’s a little more used to road trips

Last week I had our eldest (nearly 7 now!) in the front seat of the CL while driving err spiritedly through some country lanes, in her new car seat. She loved it!

Nice sunny day for most of it, just a bit wet on the South Side and West on the way back. 98 miles at 23 mph and 26 mpg average. Chilli shop and Garlic Farm both very good. Needles very impressive although the beach was closed due to storm damage. Very pleasant day on the island.

Probably a stupid question, but i'll ask it anyway... do all c-classes (inc. 2001-2008 Coupe) that have a panoramic roof actually have part of the roof that opens? Some car makes have a glass roof only, and not a section that opens.

I have a C220 W205 sport premier plus saloon (2015) and it has the full panoramic roof with tilt/slide opening and electric roof blinds. I don't know if it's a trim level option or standard fitment across the range.

Cleaned the E Class as I've been neglecting it for the last few weeks. The light was poor when I started but, by the time I'd given it a coat of wax it was much better. Unfortunately this better light enabled me to see quite a bit of marring on the paint in a couple of places...

Ah well. Out with the polisher to strip it all back, then another couple of coats of wax and looking good again.
