Well done!
Perseverance won through. Now to sort the other little things, one at a time.

It sounds like an injector is leaking so that should be next.

But over all, well done that man!

+1 Well done! Many would have given up.
Do sort that leaking seal!

I have followed this saga like a good book ya can't put down.
Couldn't offer any input myself, but read all the input from other forum members and as a result, learnt stuff myself.
Well done for persevering with it, congrats on getting it running.
I even laughed watching the youtube vid of it running.
Well done.

Which Bluetooth diagnostic are you thinking? Virtually none of them will read anything but basic generic codes.

I’ve seen some listed on Amazon for much less than the icarsoft one. Why?

In an MB there are numerous systems. Each of these requires a different method to communicate with it. Most non MB specific readers cannot do this (including almost all Bluetooth readers). The iCarsoft i980/MB v2.0 and earlier MB-II can communicate with all the modules fitted in your car, read off error codes and clear them. The generic Bluetooth ones can't do this and will only read engine codes. That limits them severely if for example you need the codes read for gearbox, airbags, ABS, ESP or any of the SAMs for example. The iCarsoft can do these.

The only Bluetooth reader I've heard of that might be able to read all modules is Carly for Android.

Oh okay. Understood. So there’s nothing for Apple then?

Right. Need just a little bit more help. Have lost my torque wrench and of course need it to torque the injector bolts down again after wiping off excess black stuff again, fitting new washers and new set of bolts. Said bolts now need torquing down.
Does Anyone local have a torque wrench that will torque to 7Nm?
This is pretty urgent.

Just to explain. My house is in Gosport however I don't have off road parking. My girlfriend lives in Hedge End, so I've been traveling and staying at hers as and when I can. I am therefore now in Hedge End.

That explains the delays in getting the car running... too busy...:D:p

Presumably you've really tried to find your torque wrench?
A tool like that doesn't easily go missing - so it's probably somewhere obvious that you may have overlooked.
Another search might find it.
Let's hope it's not in the fuel tank!
