Just sorted one problem to fix the main problem. I have tried most things to retract the roll bar on my 1996 SL but nothing is working at present. Disconnected the battery for 10 mins, held the roll bar switch up for 10 secs, checked all the fuses, and a bit more. I took it in to the garage this morning because I had heard it could be a fault that needed resetting. But the garage told me that were a few faults on the computer that they erased but the fault for the roll bar stayed on? So I have the report code which reads 122 Limit Switch, S83/1 Roll bar stowed. Does any one know what this means and can it be rectified because I can't put my roof up or down, so at present its not locked down on the rear swing arm. The garage suggested it would take a very long time to take the back seats and covering off to expose the ‘switch’, which they weren’t sure, were it was located. But I have half stripped it down, which took 10mins.
