Thinking of giving it a wash.
I know very exciting but I've been looking at these "snow foam" guns/lances/canons and their detergents and wondering if they are any better than the bucket, sponge and chamois I've used since the stone age. Looks like a lot of fun but if it doesn't make it any easier or cleaner looking for my three foot away rule, I'll just stay in the stone age.
Anyone with experience of these devices?
Snow foam is "Theater" it looks good to the Jones' next door

Gave the CLK a quick wash with Chemical Guys shampoo , then feeling motivated by the glorious weather I applied some Dodo Juice Lime Prime , followed by some Poorboys White Diamond. Well impressed by the paint now .

Saturday I locked the keys in the boot! Breakdown managed to pry the door with airbags and hooked the drivers door handle, first pull unlocked and we were in! Problem is the remote tailgate opening which doesn’t unlock the car, so I put the keys in whilst loading my purchases in and pushed the tailgate button, one locked R class, 75miles from home!

And this morning I’ve just slapped a coat of Sonax BSD on top of it .....boom

That takes me at least a couple of hours to polish the car, you must have been up at sun rise  :)

I suspect complete madness  :D
Im with oldspanners, whats with these gobbledygook names for poish or whatever?, honestly the people who make this stuff really do come up with some fancy poncy names for their products to make them sound trendy, and people get sucked in by it! I just use a good old fashioned polish i use to use in the bodywork trade , like autoglym or 3M

I just use Bilt Hamber Speed Wax and as far as I am concerned that does the whole job. I don't really understand sealants and ceramics. A good covering of wax keeps it looking good and beading well for months :)

Funny you shold mention Bilt Hamber because i swear by their shampoo - Auto Wash.
A sealant will last longer than a wax and is easy for the average person to apply, whereas a ceramic can last years and is best left for the professionals to apply.
Think of ceramic as a liquid glass coating that bonds with the paintwork.
I had mine done last December and it is a 3 year coating.

I would have to say that does look good Ron. If I was that much of a fanatic I wouldn't dare take it out on the road :D

I used to use Autoglym Super Resin polish so I don't doubt your results in the slightest. :)
If you want long lasting that all you need to do is wash in your normal way together with a very occasional spray top up then ceramic is the way to go.
Personally speaking I love washing my car, but just cant be bothered with spending potentially hours polishing anymore.

If it is good as people say it is then bird poo should simply slide right off then? :)

No.
Bird **** will eat into anything if left long enough before cleaning off.
It is always essential to clean it off your paintwork when you first spot it...but then you see cars driving around for weeks on end covered in bird ****. :D
