Drove Warrington to Whitchurch (A49), with a slight detour on the way back due to an accident involving a police car. Cracking drive, seems a popular route for motorcycles, and sporty cars. Will be going again since it's on my doorstep.

What model S class buddy ? Looks lovely by the way .
W221, S500 with the 5.5 NA engine. Long wheelbase, pano roof, Distronic, Parktronic, reversing camera, heated cooled seats front & rear, screens in the headrests for the rear seats and a Playstation that links to them.
I’m a little bowled over with it to be honest, returned 32mpg on the drive home. My Audi A3 averaged 39!

So it went like this, the squeak's still there drivers side rear. Definitely a rubber bush seized on a pin but I will have to wait until I get some help to move the car up and down on the suspension while I locate which of the 14 different points it is.
Started out wheels off and a power wash around the suspension and wheel arch, took off the liners and continued. 26C today so no problem drying out but finished off with compressed air. Noticed a bit of surface rust here and there so treated that and sprayed ACP 30 liberally around all the joints. Wired brushed the suspension arms, springs, sub-frame and sprayed with rust inhibitor which seems to keep it at bay but certainly the springs are showing there age as there is no coating apart from the treatment and the anti-roll bar's going the same way..
I did find a loose exhaust heat shield at the back box which would explain why I though there was a loose baffle in the exhaust for about 3 years. So I also noticed there are two plastic shields behind the rear wheels which have small slots to allow the water to drain but they bock easily with grit, can be cleared in situ with a screw driver once you know where they are. There are three on the drivers side the blue trim tool is beside the middle one (this is the inside of the shield) and one on the other side more visible.

Thanks! I’m somewhat over the moon and it hasn’t yet sunk in that I don’t have ABC any more!

Had an Italian tune up yesterday with the speed limiter actually in the car!

We are temporarily looking after Larry the Lurcher with separation anxiety who cannot be left alone.

Bought some half price lawn feed from a seller 30 mins away, kids were home so we set off to collect.

Half way home daughter calls and says she needs to leave as booked to watch a film at the local cinema. Larry was about to be home alone, (visions of excrement all over the house and chewed furniture clouded my mind....).

We have a Hive sound monitor in the kitchen that texts if it hears a noise such as dog bark or glass breakage.

Sport mode engaged, empty unrestricted country roads lay ahead....

Speed limiter reports "barking detected text" (foot goes down, heads snapped back).

Speed limiter reports text no.2. (paddle shifts engaged, Sport suspension selected....).

Speed limiter reports text no. 3, (she is now screaming at the top of her lungs "the dog is not worth dying over").

Speed limiter learnt by this stage not to report the following 7x barks! Pity as I was starting to enjoy myself with the perfect excuse at each stage ;-)..

Did she ever find where you hid the recording of the dog barking?

Be interested in how you put the PlayStation in there as I’ve been toying with that idea for the 212, we’ve got the media centre like you so it would be interesting to see how integrated we could get it

It’s mounted in the boot, on some form of custom chassis over the DVD multichanger. How it’s wired up I don’t know; controllers are wireless.
