Had a fast idle for a few days so did the following. Took the cover off the resonance valve sitting in the intake m/fold and freed off the gubbins inside. Problem is, at the back of the valve body there is a port with a tapered rubber connector on it, and the rubber has hardened and split. There also doesn't seem to be anything connected to the other end of the rubber connector. I have looked on the russian site and this area is not shown in any great detail. I need to get a new connector from MB, but is there anything that should go on to it? The idle sits at 650 now which is fine, but the car does hesitate a bit under full bore acceleration which does point to a vacuum problem somewhere. Any pointers gratefully recv'd.
