Just seen their E63 has been reduced by £2k!

Would it make me a bad person to go and make enquiries at their other branch now???

Hmmm... Now I'm intrigued. Could be looking at £1-2k to change.

Do I want an E63???

Depends, do you want the extra space combined with an extra 200kg in weight??

Personally I would take the money and have a Quaife diff and a map done on the C63

Yeah, as I said before, I do like the overall package & size of the C63.

The extra comfort (and on this particular car, spec) does hold a certain appeal though.

Not trying to put a downer on C class owners, but the E is a far better car in every way IMHO of course. Given the difference in price I'd be right on it.
Question is, is it too big for your needs?

It should be, I actually wanted an E but the car I bought is perfect (particularly with a little GAD magic ;)) I will prob go to an E or CLS SB next.

Hence my post saying go and test one, you never know until you drive it

50/50 really. Had a CLS so the E would be no worse. This one is very well specced, reasonable miles etc. the size, ride, etc would beneficial on my usual work runs. I miss the leather door cards & dash.

The C is more wieldy, I prefer the look of it, of the two (although I prefer the squared exhausts of the E, I'd miss the bonnet bulges of the C!).....

I guess ultimately (besides whether or not I like it once I'm in it), it comes down how much they'd give me for mine!

NOOOOOOOOO..... I must behave. Stop looking. Just enjoy the C for a while once it's sorted! :-?

We will see. Possible job tweaks afoot that would mean the long, long distance schleps would be greatly reduced, and in their place medium range hoonable journeys.

That could all be a tad premature however! :)

No Weistec! Quite happy with the n/a delivery! Although slightly quicker gear changes wouldn't go amiss...

I am however about to light up a thread in the Exhaust section... :)

Speak to Dave although we all know his feeling on the 212, they are fantastic cars if you doing any mileage, quiet and composed when you need it and then total animal when you want to be that way. best of both IMO

As said though take it for a good hours drive and see how you find it for the real world, the power and poise will be no different to the 204 but as a pootler its very different.
