Hi all , iam new here . so my car went into limp mode briefly the other day and even though i could still drive and achieve same speed as normal the acceleration wasn't there and the revs were higher than normal. I guess the mpg would have gone down too.
Put my icarsoft system on and found

P2454 PENDING PARTICULATE PRESSURE SENSOR A CIRCUIT LOW came up

I guess its the dpf sensor that needs changing or something , so Ive heard not to fit the Bosch ones so anyone have the specific dealership genuine part make / serial number etc
Also is this a definite fix as the car drives normal again since i cleared the codes. Do i control or reset the sensor through the scanner ??

Also separate issue , I have a recall on my car so the DVLA have said is still outstanding so I contacted the MB dealership in Oxford but havent had a response and its been a week or so is this normal or will i have to chase these ????

Welcome :)

Cant help with the sensor query (others will)

Regarding recall. If you got to Gov.uk MOT checker, there is a section that shows if your car has a recall and maybe even tells you what it's for.

The last MOT on my ML states that my car is subject to a recall ..... it doesn't say what it's for though. (it'll be the emissions software 'update')

Update on DPF
Taken the car in to Air Cooled Engineering in Cowley Oxford, good company to be fair they have done a few jobs in the past on various cars / vans ive owned.
£125 to change the sensor and reset . Seems to have done the trick and they said it was pretty standard so all good there.
I will keep you all posted.
