7g tronic service

Hi guys just wanted to do service on my 7g tronic. Its a cls 350 cdi 2012. Wondering if you know anyone who is really good in Lancashire or just go to main dealer. 450 main dealer quoted me. Just want to make sure its going to be done properly.

Cant help on a garage but £450 seems expensive, I would expect nearer £300.
I bought the MB 3 years service plan for my E350CDI at £1200. Thats two B services, one A service, & a auto gearbox oil change.

I've noticed that on the 350 the gearbox filter is part of the sump pan maybe not on the 7g box , itself costing around £170 . So £450 isn't far off . Id question if this is a diluted oil change or do they drain the whole system inc torque converter , oil cooler and all associated pipes.

Your filter maybe not part of the sump pan , if its not ,I was being quoted £200/£220 for a 7g on a 2015 c250.

Hi Chris and welcome. Big place Lancashire if you could narrow down your location a bit? I know of couple of good ones Preston way, an excellent in Warrington... just depends how far you want to travel. £450 is indeed far too much

Maybe not Wighty, especially if the filter is an integrated part of the sump itself, and apparently in some models it is.

Waiting to hear from the OP where he is in Lancashire Steve, big county - I'd recommend MB Tech Warrington but that's the 'southern' end , we don't know if he's further North ...
