I'm currently experiencing a problem with my '99 C Class W202
The engine shuts down completely whilst I'm driving. I bring the car to a stop at the side of the road and I have to wait sometimes 20 minutes, sometimes an hour and a half before the car will start again. I've owned the car since February this year and I've had no previous issues. The first occurrence of this problem was Thursday. On Friday and Saturday morning the car worked perfectly but on Saturday evening the problem resurfaced. We're now on Sunday and getting perilously close to Christmas. I would like to have this problem rectified before Christmas day as I have relatives to visit. I've done a little research and I've found 3 potential culprits: Crank Position Sensor, Overvoltage Protection Relay and Fuel Pump Relay. Any ideas?
