On the steering column, just behind steering wheel, theres a lug that fits into the rear of the wheel!!

just to add to colin`s informed, experienced and always useful input. i have seen 1x A140 that had recurring angle sensor faults even with a new sensor. turned out to be play in steering column affecting the sensor alignment (uses optical sources and receptors, interrupted by moving tabs. tabs not going far enough into groove and causing fault).
