Hi All,
I have a 1991 W124 300e with 143,000 miles on it.
I have recently come across an issue recently whereby my ABS doesn't seem to be working and the wheels are locking up with hard braking (Happened to me today when someone pulled out in front of me last minute on a wet road.)
The cars ABS light does work as it comes on when the ignition is turned on and goes out before the engine is started. However the light goes out and doesn't come back on despite there being no ABS working on the car.
I should note that recently I have changed the front and rear discs and pads. I also cleaned the ABS sensors on the front in order to remove the iron filings build up on them. However I am led to believe that a sensor gone bad would throw the light on the dash.
I haven't replaced the brake fluid so I am contemplating does this next.
Would anyone on here have any similar experiences to me with their W124?
