Advice on non mercedes parts

A rear shock on my GL320 has gone and I am looking to use aftermarket part. Does anyone on the forum have advise on the best supplier? the price variation is alarming.

Try eurocarparts, Gsf , carpart4less, autodoc, partsinmotion ( ebay )

Look for coupon codes also ... mot2020 is current for eurocarparts.

I used Aerosus https://aerosus.co.uk/ for the rear shocks on my previous R Class. Cost wise they were around €400 the pair rather than £400 each from Merc

Aftermarket quality varies.
I’d go with one of the big manufacturers who supply Merc/BMW/Audi etc
Sachs/Boge/Bilstein for example
