Bottas' car left the pit with the correct tryes.

Russell left with the wrong tyres, came in after one lap for the correct tyres, then had a puncture.

Russell left the pit with a mixed set hence having to stop again for the correct tyres.

Bottas came in second and they took his used hard tyres off chucked them on the floor to get cold then realised they didn't have the correct new tyres to fit, so after what felt like a age they fitted his old tyres he came in with but they were now cold.
They ruined Bottas's race, he had no chance at the restart with cold used hard tyres.

On Wednesday Mercedes release the debrief video on social media and it will explain it all, Bottas may have looked bad to the average person who knows nothing about F1 but I'm sure Mercedes will rightfully be taking the full blame for this whole debacle.

Russell was so unlucky to pick up the puncture, he has definitely proven his credentials as a great racer and im sure he will end up at Mercedes in the future, but not while Lewis is there imo.

Reckon Bottas race was ruined the minute Russell was assigned to drive alongside him!

Shame in a way, would have been nice to see GR in that race possibly giving Toto a real problem re next year - and giving Lewis possibly less leverage on his contract renewal discussions!

Perez is off to Red Bull

Yep a well deserved seat in the Red Bull for Perez, which means Max should have some serious competition from his teammate next year.
It is only a 1 year contract though.
Perez has said previously when asked about his future in F1 that he didn't know what would happen for 2021, but he would be back in 2022. I wonder what it could be that he has in place for 2022...?

Not F1 but I have just watched The Late Brake Show interviews with Jason Plato and Matt Neal. It has completely changed my opinion of them both. I was always a big fan of Jason Plato, as a race driver of course, but the interview with Matt Neal has shown me that he is really a nice guy.

Ive always been a fan of Jason ever since he started in the BTCC, then presenting on Fifth Gear. I never really took to Matt Neal....probably unfairly due to his long running feud with Plato, although he is most likely a nice guy.
