Hi,

Does anyone know the best position to place Axle Stands when lifting the front of the car? One site describes placing them under the front chassis for the W210, is the approach for the C209 the same? Is there any way to identify the most appropriate place to position them on each side?

Thanks

Put them where the jacking pads are.

You can also put two on the subframe a the front, as you say.

I think the problem is there are only the jack pads, and these can occupy where you want to place the stand.

That is the issue, I suppose.

There is a jacking pad in the center of the front subframe but you can only get to it with a big floor jack.

In these cases I place them at the bottom of the wishbone where it meets the chassis

Likewise. They sit nicely in the cup of the stand.
