C250 CDI Remapping from Denmark!!!

Hey guys,

Interesting one for you! A customer wanted his C250 CDI mapping however there is no switchable system on the market which supports Delphi CRD 2.61 ECU's and the customer didn't want to bring his vehicle to us! Understandable considering he is in Denmark!

So he posted his ECU over to us and we BDM READ and WRITE to the ECU and here is a pic.

We will try and get a OBD process thread on the go and also a BDM thread so that you guys can all have a little insight into the process' for ECU communication.

all those little black chips, with lots of little soldered terminals on each! its no wonder these things can give trouble after a few years!

They are not like the older ECU's! Very very well sealed and also the whole board is lacquered!

I used to get stuff in with the 240 legs, never ever had a bad connection on one, the gear for taking them off if just so expensive. I used to cut all the legs off, suck up the cut off legs with a vacuum pump, glue the new one in place and flow solder all the pins, then use the vacuum pump to de-solder between the pins and job done.

How I did it with my lousy eyes I will never know, I guess if you need the money you manage
