hi, yeah I did, it happened to be the DPF, apparently it was falling apart inside, the mechanic stuck a camera in there. So he removed the DPF and remapped it and that sorted the issue. I’ve drove it on the motorway a few times now and I’ve had no issues.

Congratulations. You've just made your car illegal to use on the road.
If caught the current fine is £1000 per instance but expect to see that increase dramatically.

Some pillock had done the same to my R Class before I bought it. I pushed the dealer to sort it and he's now taking the previous owner to court for his costs.

Fix it properly or take the bus.

Removing the DPF is irresponsible and immoral.
People that do this should be banned from the road.

Just to add.....
You're quite probably uninsured unless you declared it to your insurer as it's a modified vehicle now. I would be surprised if they would insure an unroadworthy either.
