I took my 1996 C180 into the garage last week because the windscreen wiper was sticking and then stopped although it worked when I pushed the scoosher. The electrician told me it needed a new switch, which he replaced and charged me for. As I was driving it home the wiper stopped again. It works intermittantly but sticks now. The electrician says it just needs a bit of oil, have I been ripped off?
The blowers on the central dash section are also blowing cold now. The electrician insists it's piped for the side heater to blow hot and the centre to blow cold, oddly the center was blowing hot until he got his hands on it. I've left it with him tonight as I paid for all the work when I left on Hogmany and want it fixed. I've told him categorically that the center heater should blow hot and to get it fixed.
Can anyone tell me if I'm mistaken or if I've paid for a new switch I didn't need and he doesn't know what he's doing?
He was reading my Haines manual when I left. It's a Hi-Q garage so hoping they won't charge for more time. Help?
